Waxed Canvas Weekender Bag

Description

A proper weekender, sized to take three to five days of clothing without surrendering to either bulk or sag. The shell is 24oz Martexin waxed canvas — a heavier weight than most makers use — over a full saddle-leather bottom panel that takes the abuse of being set on hotel-room floors, airport tiles, and gravel driveways. The bottom is also reinforced internally with a 4mm bonded leather board so the bag holds its shape even loaded.

Twin top handles in 1.25″ saddle leather with rolled stitching, plus a detachable 1.5″ leather shoulder strap on solid brass hooks. Full-length brass YKK zipper across the top with leather pulls. Inside, two long full-height slip pockets along the side walls and one zippered interior pocket at the end that fits a passport, phone charger, and folded paperwork.

Care: Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth; the wax handles weather but reapply Otter Wax annually for heavy travelers. The leather bottom can be conditioned with Saphir Renovateur every six months. The bag is intentionally not laptop-ergonomic — use a separate sleeve for laptops, this is a clothing bag.
